Nevjabai Hitkarini College was started with Arts faculty in 1962 immediately followed by introduction of Commerce faculty in 1963, Science faculty in 1971 and post-graduation in Commerce in 1973. Taking strides in educational developments and commensurate with government's new education policy, Junior College was started in 1975, and bifocal vocational courses were introduced in 1978 which were later transformed into MCVC in 1993 so as to make education more vocation oriented
